Revisiting the Timex Weekender 40

I first reviewed the Timex Weekender 40 on February 6, 2015

In the year and a half since I posted the review it’s been seen tens of thousands of times. Dozens of people have e-mailed me asking about it, with many sending me a note to describe their own love affair with the Weekender. A lot of people like the Weekender.

As I mentioned in my post about revisiting the SNK809, I wanted to improve the quality of my review so that people looking for information on the Weekender can find a detailed review with great photos and a real sense of what the watch is about. The original review didn’t do a bad job, but despite this, I decided to revisit it anyway.

This go around I got some really killer photos.

New Photos of the Timex Weekender 40

I’ve invested heavily into new lighting and photography equipment so that I could take better photos of watches. When I started WYCA I had no idea how to use a camera – any camera – and I find it funny (and rewarding) that after thousands of shots I’m finally able to snap a decent photo or two.

The Weekender 40 is honestly one of my favorite watches (for a lot of reasons, read the review) and taking great photos of it is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. So, with that in mind, I ordered a brand new one off of Amazon a few weeks ago and got down to work. I hope you enjoy them 🙂

I’ve learned a lot about watches over the three and a half years I’ve had WYCA. I’ve had a lot of watches on my wrist (over 70 and counting) and have gained perspective on what I like in a watch and what things to look for. I re-approached the Weekender completely from a new perspective.

Read the updated Timex Weekender review and let me know what you think- do you agree that the Weekender is one of the best affordables you can buy today?

About Cameron Martel

If it ticks or tocks, I want it on my wrist. I'm a fan of all things that keep good time, and I can't resist a great looking watch. WYCA is my way of appreciating the engineering and artistry that goes into affordable watches. My favorite watch is my Jazzmaster Auto Chrono, and the watch I wear the most is my Weekender Chronograph. I currently have 33 watches in my collection. Learn more about WYCA's Editorial Process.
